Haze Guitar Guides

These books form part of an ongoing series of guides, designed to teach you everything you'll need to work on your guitar in confidence and safety.

Haze Guitars Guides are written to be accessible and fun while still being crammed full of all the information you need to really understand the topic.

The first book in the series cuts through the veil of misinformation and horror-stories about truss rods. I wrote it to help musicians deal with the one guitar topic that most are reluctant to consider.

The book is currently available for free download in iBooks and PDF formats. Learn more about Truss Rods Made Easy.

This book will be available in early 2015. I'm working on it right now and it's shaping-up to be just as 'complete' as the title suggests.

This book will include a huge reference library of standard wiring diagrams and heaps of modifications to tweak your guitar's tone. There's a section on how each component in your guitar works which will help you figure out what's wrong if there's a problem. And, on that subject, there's a troubleshooting section too. Lastly, you'll learn all about the actual business of soldering and wiring the instrument yourself with tons of tips along the way.

Gerry Hayes from Haze Guitars

Hey. I'm Gerry Hayes. I've been building guitars for nearly twenty years and I've repaired thousands of instruments in my time running Haze Guitars. Everything from straightforward setups to massively complex structural repairs and restorations.

I feel I've a pretty good grasp on this guitar stuff and I've written these Haze Guitars Guides to help you get to grips with it too.
