Slight left-turn.
You’re probably familiar with Godwin’s Law: “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1"
Well, Hayes’s Law is similar: “As an online musical instrument forum discussion grows longer, the probability of it turning into a my-gear’s-better pissing contest approaches 1”
Hayes’s Law
Why bring this up? You see, I often get asked about participating in guitar forum discussions. A long, long time ago, I did this a few times. But I stopped pretty quickly.
Maybe I’ll discuss this sometime but, for now, I’ve been moved to offer some illustrations of my forum reticence.
Tongue is in cheek throughout. Mostly. 😉
